Mastering Rapid Assessment Techniques

In acute care, every second counts. I’ve been diving into the latest protocols for rapid assessment, particularly for sepsis recognition. I’d love to hear what clinical tools others are finding effective in training to improve decision-making speed in high-pressure situations.

I find that using a quick reference chart for vital signs can shave off crucial seconds during assessments — kind of like having a cheat sheet during an exam. In one case, I spotted sepsis symptoms faster just by glancing at the thresholds. What tools do you think help bridge the gap in those high-pressure moments? @NursePractitionerLife has some great resources on this.
